If a column frequently used in query filters has no index, the database falls back to a full table scan. Declare an @Index on filtered columns.

Incorrect

@Entity
public class User {
    @Id private Long id;
    private String email; // findByEmail called heavily, no index
}

Correct

@Entity
@Table(indexes = @Index(name = "idx_user_email", columnList = "email"))
public class User {
    @Id private Long id;
    private String email;
}

Fix

Add a DB index on frequently filtered/ordered columns via @Table(indexes = ...).
