Inviting members and roles
Workspaces are the tenant boundary into which you can invite team members.
Inviting members
Section titled “Inviting members”- Go to Settings → Members → Invite.
- Enter the email and role of the person to invite.
- Send - an invitation email is sent to the person; once they accept, they join the workspace.
Pending invitations also count toward the member limit: if the workspace is at “members + pending invitations = limit”, no new invitation can be sent.
| Role | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Owner | All settings, billing, member management |
| Admin | Project and module management, member invites |
| Member | Access to projects, view reports |
Update a role via Members → (person) → Change role.
Member limit
Section titled “Member limit”The number of members you can invite is bound by your licence. When the limit is reached, the invitation is rejected; if you need more users a new licence file is issued (see Licence and limits).
Installation-level controls (on-prem)
Section titled “Installation-level controls (on-prem)”Two switches live with the installation’s operator, not with the workspace:
- Invitations per workspace - the Administration area can close a workspace to new invitations. The invite action disappears for its members and the API refuses the call; the workspace’s own admins cannot lift it.
- Invitable e-mail domains - an allowlist (for example
contoso.com). When set, invitations to any other domain are refused - including invitations sent by the operator. Empty means no restriction. A subdomain is not covered by its parent; list it separately.
