Task Never Cancelled (ARCH9034)

Key swift.async.task-never-cancelled · Severity warning · Category async

Flags a Task stored in a property that the owner never cancels - it outlives the view or model that started it.

Incorrect

class VM { var task: Task<Void, Never>? }
task = Task { await refresh() }

Correct

deinit { task?.cancel() }

Fix

Cancel the task in deinit / onDisappear, or use a .task { } modifier that cancels for you.
