HTTP Action Naming (ARCH9004)

Key swift.naming.http-action-naming · Severity info · Category naming

Flags Vapor route handlers whose name contradicts the HTTP verb they are registered for (routes.get("users", use: createUser)).

Incorrect

routes.get("users", use: createUser)

Correct

routes.get("users", use: listUsers)

Fix

Name the handler after the verb: get/list/find for GET, create for POST, update for PUT/PATCH, delete for DELETE.
